What parents need to know
Parents need to know that Seussville has something for every child from the youngest to the oldest -- and for Seuss-loving parents and teachers, too. The visually pleasing site has books (to peek at or purchase), character profiles, games, classic Seuss videos, and more categorized in many helpful ways. Which Seuss books are right for my toddler? What's the background on my favorite Seuss character? There's even Dr. Seuss childhood family photos and a Seuss college scholarship application on the site. Some discussion of Seuss' politics can be found on the site, which include anti-war and pro-environmental messages, and some glitches make the site slow and occasionally frustrating to use.
Is it any good?
First, mute the background music, which can become quickly unbearable. But the mountains of Seuss content here is a sure winner for any Cat In the Hat or Horton fan. Teachers will find annual timelines of events related to Seuss books and activities. The fascinating sections that highlight Seuss' sketches and personal photo galleries are excellent ways for older kids who grew up on Seuss to get a better appreciation for the real writer behind the whimsical world of Seuss. The games are fun, but not necessarily educational at all. A surprise for a site related to books that sneak in the learning with the fun. Unfortunately the site is hampered by slow load times, annoying glitches, and some outdated information. The most recent newsletter is dated 2009, and most activities did not work during a recent trial. These issues keep the site from being truly top notch.

Perfect for little kids.
This website is very easy to use. My school used this siet alot in first grade. Little kids will really enjoy it.

Fun and great site.
the kids really like this site. its alot of fun. My 5 yr. old whos in kindergarden can play most of the games and enjoy most all of the other features and my 7 yr. old can play all of them. It teaches things in a fun way.
