What parents need to know

Parents need to know that if you and your preschooler are fans of Yo Gabba Gabba! (and even if you're not), you'll like this album. It's got some usual show favorites, as well as lots of new hip tunes by cool adult artists, and is full of fun lessons about everyday life.

  • Fun, playful lessons about picking up after yourself, being a good friend, being yourself, and being nice.
  • Songs make things like cleaning up, loving your pet, and treating friends with respect seem cool.
  • Characters sing about how it's OK to sometimes "do your own thing"; you don't always have to follow the crowd.
  • Not applicable.

What's the story?

TV's hippest kids' characters are back with yet another album, YO GABBA GABBA: MUSIC IS AWESOME! VOL. 3, a 23-track record with favorites like "Don't Bite Your Friends" and "I'm Sorry," as well as music featured on the show from bands like The Flaming Lips, Devo, Band of Horses, The Killers, and even "Weird Al" Yankovic, to name a few.

Is it any good?

Whether it's singing about (not) biting your friends, being yourself, or being kind to others and your pets, Yo Gabba Gabba! takes everyday lessons about life and creates fun and meaningful ways to get kids to be the people we want them to be: kind, thoughtful, independent, and healthy. The songs can become a bit tedious after a while (what kids' music doesn't?), but the groovy, eclectic mix of tunes from bands like The Killers and The Flaming Lips are hip enough for even the coolest parents and preschoolers on the block.
