Parents need to know that this 2-CD set contains most of Whitney Houston's biggest hits, and focuses on her pre-addiction glory days. The songs present a much more positive, kid-friendly image of Whitney than what has been portrayed in her final years. It's a showcase of the endless talent and string of hits from the sweet and soulful diva, with messages of strength and survival. Aside from some mature topics like relationships and cheating, both albums are fine for older kids.
What's the story?
WHITNEY HOUSTON: THE GREATEST HITS ALBUM combines many of Houston's countless hits since the beginning of her career in the '80s with fresh, new remixes by masters like Hex Hector, Junior Vasquez, and Jonathan Peters. The two-disc album set of 36 tracks includes favorites like "I Wanna Dance with Somebody," "I Will Always Love You," "I'm Your Baby Tonight," "Greatest Love of All," "One Moment in Time," duets with George Michael, Enrique Iglesias, Faith Evans, and Kelly Price, and even Houston's stirring, unforgettable rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the 1991 XXV Super Bowl.
