What parents need to know

Parents need to know that "Turn Me On" seems tame compared with Nicki Minaj's (and David Guetta's) former releases. It contains no profanity, violence, or references to illegal substances, and it goes pretty light on the sex talk, including just a few charged lines like "Boy, I’m achin,' make it right / My temperature is super high / If I scream, if I cry, it’s only ’cause I feel alive." For younger kids just dying to hear Nicki Minaj music, this is one of her most acceptable picks.

  • No positive or negative messages, only a somewhat mature summary of romantic behaviors between two adults.

  • This song is not meant to promote role models.
  • Not applicable.
  • Some light allusions to sexual situations: "Doctor, doctor, where you at? ... My body needs a hero, come and save me ... Make me come alive, come on, turn me on, touch me."

What's the story?

Known for pairing up with some of the biggest singers and rappers in music, renowned DJ David Guetta collaborated with rap queen Nicki Minaj for his latest single "TURN ME ON." In contrast to most of Minaj's music, this track is downright clean -- offering just a few vaguely steamy lyrics, such as "Doctor, doctor, where you at? ... My body needs a hero, come and save me ... Make me come alive, come on, turn me on, touch me," and no other adult content or profanity.

Is it any good?

David Guetta is known for infectious beats, and this track is no exception. Most of the lyrics are sung by a solid female vocalist that some will be surprised to learn is Nicki Minaj, swapping her usual rapping for singing (to good effect). Die-hard Minaj fans, never fear: Minaj reverts to her typical frenetic rapping in the final verse.

THIS SONG IS AWESOME!
IT'S AWESOME! I LOVE THE BEAT! I think the only problem is the sexual behavior in the song. It wouldn't be good for kids 9-. Otherwise, other issues are pretty vague. This song is SOOO addicting :D!

Pretty Clean Song about a Relationship,OK for most kids
Parents need to know that although this track is from David Guetta and Nicki Minaj,it's pretty clean throughout the song, aside from a few steamy lyrics, there's nothing eyebrowing about this song, making it a fine choice for tweens and teens. Messages:Positive 0/5 Nothing Positive or Negative, just a mature message about a woman who wants her loved one to come home and have sex. Role Models:Positive 0/5 Guetta and Minaj show no role model behavior. Violence:Not an issue Sex:2/5 A few steamy lyrics, such as("Doctor,Doctor need you back home in bed/My temperature is super hot.). Language:Not an issue Consumerism:Not an issue Drinking,Drugs, and Smoking:Not an issue Is it any good:If guetta is know for his hyper-active beats, then all those rumors are true.Showing off Cool Sounds and music beats help elevate this song. However Minaj is the one who get's all the credit here, her use of singing vocals work very well, and don't worry her rapping vocals are still Solid, however the music video falls flat.So expect to hear this song at Parties and Clubs.

Okay
The reason why I put " too violent", is because half a billion times she says she'll "die" if he dosn't "turn her on". Off 2-8 Iffy 9-11, On +12.

*Sigh*
It's just another piece of generic pop music that's been copied from Lady Gaga. *Sigh*. It's Teeny material. But I guess kids these days would rather listen to Rihanna & Nicki Minaj than Lady Gaga. What a shame, Lady Gaga can sure teach the younger generation many things.
