Parents need to know that Scout's 123 Carnival is an educational app from LeapFrog that is for kids who are just learning to count. Kids choose a girl or boy dog to play with at a carnival, which is filled with mini-games about counting, number identification, the alphabet, music, and more. The 123 Carnival Ride is the main attraction of the carnival. Kids get an award after the first, fifth, tenth, fifteenth, and twentieth time they play, which they can view in the prize booth. Kids are guided through the carnival by the dog and a narrator, who describe all of the game options. Kids can also play with the dog by tapping on him or her. Parents can set up a profile to receive e-mails about their child's progress in the game.
SCOUT'S 123 CARNIVAL is a fun way for very young kids to learn and practice the numbers 1 through 20. The app, from the toy company LeapFrog, encourages kids to play the carnival games repeatedly to reinforce what they've learned. Kids will enjoy earning awards and exploring the different attractions. Kids will also enjoy interacting with their chosen dog, with which they can play, play patty-cake, or feed.
