Parents need to know that Counting Caterpillar is a charming way for kids who are just learning to count to 100 or count by 2s, 5s, and 10s to practice those skills. Players drop cute flying number bugs into a climbing caterpillar's mouth and collect unique butterflies. There are 45 levels and enough options to customize this app to your child's current learning level without being overwhelming.

Is it any good?

 

COUNTING CATERPILLAR is well worth the $1.99 price. As the caterpillar transforms into a butterfly by eating the numbers that players feed it in correct order, the kids themselves are being transformed into numbers masters, ready to take flight into the next levels of math with counting confidence. The butterfly graphics are quite captivating, and a nice change of pace from the average math app.
