What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Book Creator for iPad is an app where kids and grown-ups alike can create their own eBooks. Users pick images, place text, and choose background colors for assembling their book. Images are brought in from your device's camera roll, and text is typed in the app itself. Images can be resized and repositioned, and text attributes can be changed. Books can have as many pages as needed and are saved as you go. A sample book is included in the app which also serves as a tutorial for learning how to use the app. Online help is also available via a link to your browser. Once users are done with their book, it can be opened in iBooks, or any number of other apps such as Dropbox, Evernote, and others. It can also be sent over email or saved to iTunes.

BOOK CREATOR FOR IPAD is a very simple and straightforward app for creating eBooks. The instructions are very clear, and anyone new to the app can be creating their own book in just a few minutes. Users can save or view their books in a variety of apps. The included tutorial book gives all the information needed to use the app and create a book. It also guides users through the app's features within the tutorial book itself. Because the app is very simple, editing is limited, and you are restricted to changing images, text, and background color. The app could have a bit more functionality, but what it does have it does well.
