Parents need to know that WWE 12 is a simulation of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Players choose between several wrestlers and lead them to a championship title. Since this is wrestling, prepare to see some violence in the form of body slams, punches, and kicks -- with some blood. The game is also playable online, so players may be exposed to unwanted conversations and inappropriate language.
In WWE 12, players control one of several wrestlers in World Wrestling Entertainment and guide him to a championship title. They can also create their own brawler to lead to victory. The game features modes such as Road to Wrestlemania, a story-based action option, and WWE Universe to run through a schedule of wrestling events.
The overhaul of WWE 12 seems to have benefited the series, although it could use some tweaks. The presentation and graphics are sharp. The simpler controls help breathe life into the series, but executing the Reversal move is very tough compared to last year's game. Fortunately, between the easier controls, improved presentation, and impressive depth, WWE 12 is a solid wrestling title.
Families can talk about how the video game compares to real-world wrestling.
WWE is a violent sport, how does the violence in this game compare to what you see in real life?
