Educators in the state of Maine have been pioneers in using technology in the classroom. But as the state’s Learning Technology Policy Director Jeff Mao found, in order to benefit from the technology, students, parents and teachers need training. Last week Common Sense Media honored Mao for his groundbreaking work in bringing digital literacy and citizenship education to every student in Maine, where teachers are using Common Sense Media’s curricula.
